Early Life – The Great Escape

In 1979 the Iranian Revolution was in full effect ushering in State promotion of Islam and elimination of secularism. For Samadi, a Persian Jew in a Moslem country attending Catholic school, and his family, there was but only one option. After the Revolution, Samadi, at age 15 left his place of birth with his younger brother and together they made their way to Brussels and London. Experiences like this forced Samadi to grow up very fast as he was now a role model for his brother just as his father was to him. The combination of his experiences, his teachings of Judaism, and guidance from his Father helped shape Samadi to always respect people of all walks of life, push his boundaries, and relentlessly strive to be the best in all that he does. During Michael Jackson’s pop culture domination, America looked like the place to be for Samadi and his brother. Already obsessed with becoming a doctor after accompanying his father on his trips as a radiology equipment provider, Samadi went on to complete high school in Roslyn, NY and then attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook earning his degree in biochemistry on a full scholarship. This was only the beginning.

Life’s Work – The Robo Doc

Samadi completed his post-graduate training in general surgery at Montefiore Medical Center and in urology at Albert Einstein School of Medicine and Montefiore Medical Center. He went on to do an oncology fellowship in urology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and a robotic radical prostatectomy fellowship at Henri Mondor Hospital Creteil in France. Fast forward to today where he and his second family, his medical team, have performed countless successful operations and saved precious lives and families. As the expert on robotic surgery, Dr. Samadi developed his own treatment called SMART Surgery (Samadi Modified Advanced Robotic Technique) that has him in demand all around the world for procedures and to train other surgeons alike. Dr. Samadi takes a vey personalized approach to his treatment for his patients. He understands one-size-fits-all does not work as he tailors each and every program for the individual. From day one, he personally takes care of each patient as he educates and supports every step of the way. You can find countless heartwarming testimonies online from his patients and their families proving that Dr. Samadi is more than just an incredible doctor, but also an amazing human.

Out of the Scrubs – The Sharp Dressed Man

When he’s not in his “green pajamas” orchestrating his da Vinci Robot like a masterpiece symphony, Dr. Samadi covers his 6’1’’ frame with the finest shoes, shirt, suit, and tie you can find. He found his way into our homes as an actor on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” and starring as himself in six TV series such as “America Live, “Happening Now”, “Fox and Friends”, “Lou Dobbs Tonight”, “Outnumbered”, and now you can catch him on “Sunday Housecall” as the Medical Correspondent on the Fox News Medical A-Team. He is always on the move going from surgery to the Fox News studio, to across the globe to train or meet with global leaders to help improve medical care and technology in countries in need. When it comes to Dr. Samadi, the work is never over, it never ends. It doesn’t matter if he’s donned in his scrubs or in his suit or whether he is in his home, his office, the operation room, in the studio, or on a plane; with class, passion, and style, Dr. David B. Samadi is always fighting for his patients.
