A kidney stone is a crystal that form between the kidney & bladder or in the bladder. The stone is made up of calcium. Food that contain calcium is not the source of a stone unless extreme amounts of calcium is consumed for a lengthy period.
Dr. David Samadi describes that being overweight, consuming too much of animal protein, excessive salt & high fructose corn syrup in diets are some of the reasons that lead to kidney stones.
If someone consumes a lot of water, the risk of kidney stones decrease & if someone already has them plenty of water consumption will increase the possibility of passing the stones.
